Sewer Line Repair Across the Prescott Area
Four towns, four different sewer setups. We know which rules, soils and pipe materials you're dealing with in each.
The Prescott area looks like one place on a map, but underground it's several. The City of Prescott runs its own sewer system, and property owners are responsible for the private line from the foundation to the city main. Prescott Valley is a separate town with its own utilities department and mostly newer subdivisions. Chino Valley has a town sewer system that serves part of the community, with many homes, especially on larger lots, on septic. Dewey-Humboldt is rural, and most properties there run to a septic tank permitted through Yavapai County.
The ground changes too. Prescott sits around 5,400 feet on decomposed granite with boulders close to the surface and ponderosa pines whose roots go looking for leaky joints. Chino Valley is lower and flatter, with a hard caliche layer in many spots. Dewey-Humboldt has long runs across rural parcels and washes that move a lot of water during monsoon storms.
Those differences decide who owns the pipe, which office issues the permit, what material the line is likely made of and which repair method makes sense. Pick your town below for the details that apply to your property, or call and we'll tell you over the phone.
